Hello there, lovelies!
First of all, thank you for inspiring this post! Beauty topics are always hard for me because I doubt my ability to make good suggestions in this area for some reason. I always feel like there are so many other great resources out there so my voice kind of just gets lost but y’all have seriously been building me up lately. Every day that I actually put in the effort to put makeup, I get a handful of messages wanting an eyeshadow tutorial or the name of the lipstick shades I’m wearing. It brightens up my day so thank you so much!
Second, I apologize it has taken me quite some time to get this video to you. It would have likely gone up last week had I not gone out of town but, while I was away, my laptop had some technical difficulties that were unable to be attended to until I got back. I appreciate your patience and hope it was worth the wait. I’m pretty impressed with myself … that I was able to get this down to LESS than 10 minutes!! For as much as I ramble and talk, I really didn’t think it was possible!
If you are new around here and aren’t sure what the heck I’m talking about … let me catch you up! A couple of weeks ago, I wore a dress that was gray and burnt orange. It was striped – like always – and I put together this eyeshadow combination from the new Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette because the colors within the palette were complimentary to the colors in my dress. Everything tied together really well and I got a lot of positive feedback from readers asking for a step-by-step tutorial on how I apply my eyeshadow, as well as what brushes I use, and what colors I used in the palette.
Be sure to subscribe to my channel! There are more videos coming soon!
Here are the brushes I used, and if they aren’t the exact brush, they are the exact kind of brush that are all available at Nordstrom so you only have one spot to go to to get them:
Here are the colors that I used in this tutorial:
Eyeshadow Palette – Urban Decay ‘NAKED Heat’ Palette
Inner corner of eye & brow bone – OUNCE
Lid – HE DEVIL
Crease – applied with feathery blending brush – CAYENNE
Inner Crease – applied with small concentrated brush – EMBER
My lip combo is as follows:
Lip Liner – MAC ‘Stripdown’
Lipstick – NARS ‘Rosecliff’
Lip Gloss – NARS ‘Turkish Delight’
The eyeshadow palette I used is backordered until the end of the month so if you’re looking for a great Fall inspired eyeshadow palette to order now, maybe consider one of these:
I hope you found the tutorial helpful! Leave a comment in the comment section below and let me know what you think! I’d appreciate your feedback – positive and constructive! 🙂 Happy shopping, ladies, and enjoy your weekend! xo.
